Mario Polaino

Specialist in sustainable architecture

With a proven track record in developing architectural projects that integrate design, innovation, and energy efficiency.

Throughout my career, I have worked at different scales and in diverse contexts, approaching each project with a rigorous technical perspective and a clear focus on functionality and sustainability. I understand architecture as a tool for addressing real needs, where every decision has a purpose.

Experience in national and international projects

I have over two decades of experience developing architectural and urban planning projects in diverse international contexts, working in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. This experience has allowed me to develop projects adapted to different environments, climates, and needs.

I have participated in initiatives related to innovation and sustainability, such as the EOLO project, focused on energy self-sufficiency, and the ECO-CELL project in Dubai, which focuses on energy-efficient residential and office environments.

This international experience allows me to approach each project from a global perspective, combining technical knowledge, innovation, and adaptation to each context.

Architectural approach

Specialization in sustainable, modular and efficient architecture

Throughout my career, I have worked on projects that integrate bioclimatic criteria, advanced construction systems, and energy strategies aimed at reducing consumption and improving building performance. This approach has allowed me to approach architecture from a more technical and precise perspective, where every decision has a direct impact on the final result.

My specialization in sustainability, modular architecture, and energy efficiency is a natural evolution of my professional experience, developed in diverse international contexts and applied to real-world projects.

Bioclimatic architecture

I develop projects that leverage climatic conditions and natural resources to optimize building performance. Orientation, ventilation, the building envelope, and materials are all integrated to improve interior comfort and reduce energy demand.

This approach allows for the design of more efficient, sustainable buildings that are better adapted to their surroundings.

Modular architecture

I have worked on the development of modular solutions for single-family and multi-family housing, researching construction systems that optimize execution times, reduce costs, and improve the efficiency of the construction process.

Modular architecture offers flexibility in design and improves the quality and efficiency of construction.

Energy efficiency

I apply technical criteria aimed at improving the energy performance of buildings through passive strategies, the integration of renewable energy sources, and energy certification processes.

I also participate in projects focused on reducing energy consumption and environmental impact.
